Part-time Custodian

Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library

The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is seeking a part-time custodian to join the staff of the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.  Primary responsibility is the maintenance of the Library building, equipment and grounds in a clean, orderly and functional condition.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of building operations, maintenance work and building cleaning.
• Some experience working with the public.
• High school diploma required.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Trouble shoots equipment problems.

·         Assembles new equipment and furniture.

• Empties trash (including recycling papers and bottles), cleans bathrooms, and empties the drive-up book return, daily.
• Washes windows and mops or vacuums floors, replaces light bulbs, transports book sale donations to the storage unit.

·         Sets up tables and chairs and rearranges furniture as necessary for scheduled meetings and programs throughout the building.

·         Performs other duties as required to maintain the Library building, equipment and grounds in a clean, orderly, and working condition.

Position:  Part-Time, 18 - 20 hours per week
