Part-time Adult Services Assistant

Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library

The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library is seeking an Adult Services Assistant who enjoys working with teens and adults to join the staff of the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.  Duties include providing reference and reader’s advisory services, computer assistance, check-out materials, and related activities. Schedule includes evening and weekend hours.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Comfortable with highly detailed work.  
• Proficiency in computers, Internet searching and use of online databases. 
• Skilled in reader’s advisory
• The ability to work effectively and pleasantly with teens and adults.  
• High school diploma required, bachelor degree preferred.
• Public library experience preferred, but not required.

Position:  Part-Time, 16 hours per week
