Library Policies & Services
The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library provides bookmobile service to the residents of Barren County. You may get a library card and checkout materials for children and adults.
Outgoing fax service is available to the community. Local and toll free faxes are .50 per page. Long distance faxes are $1.00 per page.
The Library offers WiFi access to the Internet for users with wireless-enabled laptop computers, tablet PCs or PDAs. The Library’s network is open to all visitors. No special encryption settings, user names or passwords are required.
- The wireless network is not connected to the library’s public printers.
- Anti-virus, security, and privacy protection is the responsibility of the user.
- Technical support from the library staff is not available.
Computer stations with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet access are available to children on the main level and adults on the lower level of the library.
Kentucky Talking Book Library
Anyone who has difficulty reading standard print material is eligible for this service available from the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives. Applications are available at the check-out desk on the main level
The library’s meeting rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Room reservation forms are available at the check-out desk on the main level. Please refer to the Meeting Room Policy for more detailed information.
A black & white photocopier is located on the main level. Cost is .15 per page.
Zoom Text Magnifier/Reader software is available for use at a youth computer station and an adult computer station.
A portable magnifier and handheld lighted magnifiers are available at the Adult Services Desk located on the lower level.
