July 1         No Story Hour

July 2         2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.Learn to knit or crochet w/ Zadie, bring a large hook and four-ply yarn or needles and yarn.

July 2         9:30am Sign Language
The first twenty minutes will be Sign Language for babies and toddlers and the next forty minutes will be ASL (American Sign Language). This will be in the downstairs meeting room. There is a Story Hour at 10:00am for the younger child. Because of gas prices we consciously booked these back to back / overlapping. Stephanie Campbell is the teacher.

July 8          6:30 p.m.Bread @ your library
Join us for a demonstration of Stone Ground Whole Wheat Bread. Alison Wiediger of Au Naturel Farm will start with milling the wheat and will demonstrate to the finished product.
July 8         10am & 2pm
Story Hour will be enjoyed by the preschooler thru early elementary. There will be stories, games and a craft. This will be at 10:00am & 2:00pm. The theme today is "Inching Along"

July 11       1:00 p.m. Puppet Show Rainbow Show Puppets will present: "The Ants and the Grasshopper" Robin Loeffler, puppeteer. This is a program for participants in the Summer Reading Program. Location: Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.

July 11        Tator Tot Time is for babies six months thru three years of age and their caregiver. There will be puppets, rhymes and songs.
July 12        9:30am Computer Class. This is a basic computer class, sign-up is required. When you sign-up, indicate your desired learning experience 1) mouse use 2) getting started using a computer 3) Internet 4) Microsoft Word.

July 14        5:30 p.m. The LaLeche League is a breast-feeding support group. It is not sponsored by the library, Jennifer Pedigo is the contact person, her phone number is 270-202-5324.
July 15        6:30 p.m. Friends of the Library Meeting The Friends of the Library will meet prior to the program on Jefferson Davis.
July 15        7:00 p.m. Kentucky's Forgotten Son - Jefferson Davis. 2008 is the Bicentennial of Davis' birth and Linda Hitchcock will share about this president of the Confederacy.

July 22          6:00 p.m.Holidays ATC Martha Nelson will be sharing the how-to's of creating unique cloth reusable gift bags as well as paper bags. Her program will inspire one to get started now on creating reusable as well as fun ways to present gifts.

July 25        1:30 p.m. Magic Show Bruce Amato will share a Magic Show for Summer Reading participants (and their brothers and sisters).

July 31        10:30 a.m. AM Book Discussion The book selection for this month is Sunday Philosophy Club by Alexander McCall Smith. Pick up a copy at the Circulation Desk and join us.

July 31        Twilight Garden Tour The University of Kentucky offers a Twilight Garden Tour every other year at their South Farm which is at the corner of Man of War and Nicholasville Rd (across from Wal-Mart). The details have not been set yet, other than the date. The local Horticulture / Garden Class rents a van and goes up for this educational and fun tour.
