Children's Department

Story Hour is at 10am and 6pm on Tuesdays. There will be stories, games and a craft for preschool through early elementary child.

Tator Tot Time is Wednesdays & Fridays @ 10am it is for babies, six months thru three years. There will be puppets, rhymes and songs.

PAUL BRETT JOHNSON           April 17, 2010 @ 1pm

Author Paul Brett Johnson will visit our library to do a book signing & a presentation. Paul is a Children's Book Author & Illustrator. He is a native of Kentucky & he grew up in the Appalachian Mountains. He has written over twenty children's book & has won many awards. He currently lives in Lexington, KY.

 

Beamer

The Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library has a new program called “Reading with Beamer!” Beamer is a Golden Retriever who was adopted by The Underwood Family in 2009. He is also a therapy dog. Beginning in March two lucky children per month will be able to sit, read, and interact with Beamer. Registration is required and you must be between the ages of 6-10.


 TWEENS

 This is for children ages 8-12.

Tween Books Explorers

Children ages 8-12 meet at the library for an evening of fun with crafts/games, book discussion & refreshments. This group will meet on the second Tuesday evening each month.
